It is not a display model. It has a beautiful maple neck and headstock with a super fast smooth Rosewood fingerboard. The body is finished in a Sun-Burst finish as only G&L can do it. The pickups are the famous Fullerton USA-made G&L Magnetic Field Design humbucking pickups and give this bass a punch like a departing jet. The pickup configuration gives this bass the versatility to be the best from high fast funk to low smooth jazz and anything in between all in one piece. Tribute sets a dramatic new standard in the popular price range by bringing unique G&L features and standardized CNC quality together in a surprisingly affordable line of guitars and basses. While the Traditional G&L Guitars have been made entirely by hand with no computerized cutting machines the new Tribute guitars are made with the CNC or computerized machines for faster production.   A Word About the G&L Guitar Company:

G&L's founder, Leo Fender, the father of the electric guitar, spent the last decade of his life lavishing all the knowledge and wisdom he had acquired over the years on the creation of his beloved G&L instruments. He considered the G&L guitars and basses the masterpieces of his lifetime of creativity. Leo worked in his private laboratory at the G&L factory on Fender Ave. in Fullerton, California, until the very last day of his life and he would not have wanted it any other way.
