Tornado news from May 20, 2013

So many of you have so graciously called and emailed to find out if we are OK. We are all fine. Our home and our store were spared yet again from a devastating tornado. However, Sandra and I were at home when it formed at 2 PM on Monday because it was Sandra's birthday. We watched the tornado form just 7 miles south of our home and watched it make its way east to Moore where so many of our friends live. We lived in Moore for many years. Please continue to pray for the dear folks there. The death and devastation are almost unimaginable if you have not lived through it before. Sadly to say, many of them have lived through this kind of tragedy at least 3 times in the same area.

Oklahoma Vintage Guitar is a family owned and operated business which has become a major player in the musical instrument trade worldwide in the past ten years. It is owned by Bobby and Sandra Boyles of Mustang, Oklahoma on the West side of Oklahoma City, OK. Bobby is the guy you hear in the soundclips of the guitars and Sandra is very active in the business and are musicians themselves. Bobby has been playing since 1966 and started selling brands such as Martin and Fender in a local music store in 1971 at the age of 15. Needless to say, there are very few people left on the planet who know the instruments and the history better. He has resisted the migration to impersonalization during this corporate big box buy out era and has kept the emphasis of Oklahoma Vintage Guitar on customer service while growing it into a global contender.
